Alicia Blanco House

Capdevila, Havana

1953

The house for Alicia Blanco, one of Quintana’s earlier projects, occupies a high spot on a sloping terrain in a district south of the city.    A single horizontal roofline defines the concrete structure.  Variations in materials, such as glass and wood, express the program.  The carport and recess mark the entrance.  In the rear a glass cube cantilevers over the garden.
